Gabriel Oliveira

Gabriel Oliveira is a partner at Oliveira & Jacobovitz Advogados, registered with the Pernambuco section of the Brazilian Bar under No. 30.970. His practice brings together civil, corporate, administrative, regulatory and employment law, areas that tend to appear side by side in the life of a company and that he handles in an integrated way.

In iGaming and sports betting, he has followed Brazilian regulation since it took shape, from the creation of fixed-odds betting by Law No. 13,756/2018 to the framework established by Law No. 14,790/2023 and the rules of the Secretariat of Prizes and Betting of the Ministry of Finance. He advises operators, suppliers and investors on licensing, advertising, contracts and dealings with the regulator.

His way of working starts from the client's business. Before proposing an argument, he seeks to understand the operation, the risks the company is willing to take and what needs to be decided. The result is advice that says what to do, in what order and with what risk in each choice, in language a board can actually use.

On the administrative and regulatory side, he handles dealings with government bodies, administrative defenses and bringing companies into line with regulatory requirements. In employment law, he combines preventive advice with litigation, paying attention to where conflicts originate so that they do not recur.

He works with companies operating in regulated markets, businesses that are still being structured and investors arriving in the Brazilian market who need a careful reading of local rules, in Recife and in other cities across the country.
